what is scrapbooking?
I really need to know, it seems I have forgotten how to do it!

A month of on and off flu, colds and tonsillitis have rendered me creatively barren.

I have been doing Ali Edwards Daily Something and I have been submitting them to the pool. This in turn introduced me to flickr, and I loved it so much I got a pro account and started taking photos again.

I'm doing my Daily Something straight onto the photos then I am printing them off, this means I don't need to go and get anything else or for that matter actually move much at all to achieve something. I love the rain and cold but I hate the lurgies that come with it! I am now officially tired of being sick and constantly tired..

So here are my latest daily somethings

Tuesdays

Comfort

rainy days and Sundays

Creative Superhero
Stop what you are doing, run to Spotlight and a grab the August edition of Get Creative magazine and sit down and read all about... ME!! how gorgeous, this is long winded so listen carefully....

earlier this year the editor was over here in WA attending the Artistic Journey retreat, heard about our fundraising, tracked me down and asked if they could do an interview for their Creative Superhero section... a couple of phone calls and some emails later and there I am. I am just happy it highlights what we are doing and just for the truly curious my poor husbands name is Michael Carroll not Michael Paterson LMAO sorry honey! he grumbled something about seeing a lawyer so maybe he will change it to Paterson after all!

catch up
well things are busy here right now. We have started Alec's mealtime management strategy and it is a lot of work and a lot of stress, our first goal is to have him sit at the table without falling off his chair, forgetting something, having to show someone something and to actually eat something.
and as for me, well I am on my third bout of flu now, each one has been different and equally draining and annoying, I am of course the only family member that neglected to get a flu shot aren't I!

don't you love...
the reflection of the Opera House in Lissy's sunglasses in the previous post.. I couldn't have done better than that if I had tried, I think that is my favourite photo from our trip.

Today instead of creating on paper I am creating in the kitchen, I'm making cumquat marmalade, mums two little bushes gave about 4kg of fruit. It is all quatrered and pipped and now it soaks over night, wish me luck!

We watched E for Lissy Saturday night then they joined us for dinner. I'm enjoying getting out and catching up, it is as though the winter hibenation is almost over. I've stopped being stressed about my lack of layouts, I'm just happily doing the Daily Something

Ali Edwards' daily something
I'm having fun with this, I've finally worked out flickr, if you want to see the rest here they are - Alli's Daily Something
yesterday we braved the pouring rain and I took the boys to visit Lis and Evangeline, it was great to just sit and chat and not have to rush off anywhere, too often my life feels as though it is just a rush between venues to pick up or drop off different members of the family!

Ali E's daily something
Inspiration up and left about two weeks ago, I don't spend hours in the studio but the time I do spend there in my sanctuary I want to be constructive. lately I have just been wandering in and then out again. I did have all the coffee books to do, big projects like that always seem to steal my creativity.

So yesterday Ali Edwards ezine arrived and I thought her daily something challenge was a good way to slip back into it (I know you can't tell that by what I produced LOL). I've given myself 10 minutes a day for it, hopefully tomorrows wont be so full of spelling mistakes!

Coffee for a Cause
was an amazing success, we couldn't have done it without lots of help. This is a thank you album I made for our coffee helpers Matt and Chris and for 5 Senses coffee and Fiori coffee, a big thank you goes to Kim Young and Matt O'Donahue for the great photos!

Between the coffe drive, crop day and coffee sales on the day we raised $5000 for the Autism Association Early Intervention centre!

Something to share
I was looking through folders and came across photos I had collected for photo albums for the grandma's and found most of my favourite photos in there and the other one is from when Lis and Evangaline came for coffee and cake a few weeks back. Driving home yesterday Riley says, mum we haven't seen ebangaween for a long time, I miss her, can you make her come back to play
