An ipod in the wash
Isn't it boring when there is nothing to share, oh well you will just have to wait for what I have been doing. In between deadlines we had a life outside of suburbia! it was quiet amazing to get out and play with the big people.

Saturday we went to a tea tasting at the Dragon Tea House this was a lovely way to spend an hour or so, if you have a tea house near by see if they do this. I picked up some tea called Lady Lan, the nicest tea I have ever tasted

Then we joined Kamran and Louise for pre dinner drinks and soda bread and I met the gorgeous Ollie, I'm sure he would have come home with me if I had asked, such a cutie. Ollie is one of Kamran and Louise's Dachshunds. Then it was off to Dusit Thai for yummy food and lots of laughs

Then on Sunday I took some photo's of my neighbour Bec, 5 more weeks and we will have a new baby next door, i can't wait.

My last task of the day was washing Michael some clothes for work, the dryer was making an almighty great thump thump thump noise and upon investigation I found Micheal's ipod...oops

We are giving it 24 hours to dry out, here is hoping it survives.

First day back at school
and already I have a drawing, I think this one is a keeper.
Lots of therapy on the horizon for us, home based stuff, I did some training days on the school holidays, now is the time to put it into action. I'm trying not to think about it too much and just do it, it is pretty overwhelming. Always well worth it, I will just start the countdown the the next holidays.

Everybody should believe in something. I believe I'll have another coffee
a little busy right now, somehow a month has slipped by since the crop day, the end of July looms ever closer and deadlines approach for which projects I haven't even started...oops, I can see what I am doing this week!

Below are the coffee books I am making for our wonderful barista's that helped out at the crop day making wonderful coffee and for some other wonderful coffee people we owe more thanks that we could give in a year! I have 2 more photos to stick into the 3rd book, they are a labour of love but coming out beautifully. I pinched the cover idea from the Today You class I did with Ali Edwards last year at Kiwi Scraps, the inside are full page photos from the crop day.

Katja Schneider and Designing Memories
This month I was lucky enough to be asked by Katja Schneider to be a guest designer for Designing Memories , I had a play with the August kit and the add on kit, I loved it! they are great kits, from both kits I still have enough to make atleast another 2 layouts from each!

This was my old room, I came across this photo and thought it was just so cosy, and it was, I loved it but it was in the corner of the room and the minute you moved something it looked like a tornado had been through, I could sit there in my chair and reach everything I had though :)

Favourite Five..
What are five things you can't scrap without? that are the building blocks or just something you love. Leave a comment and tell me or do a blog post and leave me a link.

These are my 5 staples -
  1. bazzill cardstock, I couldn't imagine a page without it
  2. Heidi Swapp plastic letters, yes you have to glue the self adhesive letters but worth the effort
  3. Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink
  4. Helmar craft glue
  5. the orange knife trimmer I inherited from Michael many years ago
Now what are your NEW favourite products? This is basically anything released in the last 12 months.. again let me know.

My 5 favourite products -
  1. Queen & Co felt, have a look HERE is that black swirly number gorgeous!
  2. American Craft's Thickers, I love these, especially the felt and the foam, just a great product and the felt ones, so many in there I love it
  3. 7Gypsies rubbings, love the quality and the variety
  4. Jeni Bowlin scalloped notecards, just pure cuteness (the felt birds are pretty cute too!)
  5. Hambly Screen prints, what a neat product, love the rubons and the overlays, especially the music, a great add on piece for a page even if it has nothing to do with music!
So that is me, think about yours and let me know, I'm under the weather a bit with the flu so blog surfing seems like a good thing about now..

How come it's Tuesday already??
quiet day today, Alec is still asleep and it is after 9am! Riley is playing with his men, haven't quiet recognised his theme music yet, but it is very up beat and dramatic, Riley does everything to music, so funny.

So what's been happening?

Lis and Evangeline came for coffee and cake on Saturday, the kids had a wonderful play outside and did roly poly's on the front lawn
Sunday we went to friends for brunch then slept the afternoon away.
Monday was out first official day of holidays and we went to the gym, came home had some lunch then went to the park in the afternoon. Alec must be very very tired, so a quiet one today maybe some more washing and a bit of cleaning..yuck!

Work, Play, Gym
yay the gym! I love the gym, we joined about 6 months ago while they were still building it so we got in as foundation members. Well we have been going a month now and I love it. They have a creche so after we drop Alec off to school Riley and I got to the gym.

This week also saw the last day of daycare for Riley. It had turned into too much of a trauma, he hated going but had a good time once he was there but I had had misgivings for a few months and now the fundraiser is over I had no reason to keep him there and he is quiet amenable to being carted around now.

I'm working on Katja Scneider's kits for the gallery at Designing Memories these are gorgeous kits.

and..

it is the last day of school today! class play at the park after pick up and lining up play dates and visits. I love school holidays!

it's raining it's pouring
I love the rain! it is a bit hard drying the washing but I can live with that, give me a blustery rainy Sunday any day!

So in between loads of washing I have been scrapping, the boys have been playing and Michael made pancakes for lunch.
I couldn't think of what to write about this one, it was the last day of school before holidays and he was really tired, that is all I remember!
Now this one, Riley has become such a funny thing (when he isn't whining/clinging/whining) I had preserved mr potato head for like 3 years and then he started playing with it, mr PH bits were suddenly strewn all over the house...but here he was playing with his 'friends' and flying them around in mr PH, can't complain about that can I.

And what do you think of his 'gloves' ? such a funny thing, we went out like that for 3 weeks until I bought him some proper gloves, but you know what, socks were far easier for me than gloves are!
